Summer Retreat: Taking Refuge in the Three Jewels
August 15-21, 2025, at Camp Indianola
Please join us for a week-long retreat with the Sangha, sky, and sea. We will practice at Camp Indianola on the shore of the Salish Sea, a beloved place where we have been on retreat many times. The focus of the retreat will be taking refuge in the three Jewels: the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. We are happy to offer this opportunity to enjoy the support of such a beautiful place as we practice together to nurture our deep inquiry and aspiration to embody compassion.
All are welcome, whether you have years of experience or are new to the practice.
The retreat allows us to establish ourselves in the practice of mindfulness. Practicing as one body, we remember to bring our bodies and minds together in awareness and learn forms of practice that support us. Everything we do, all our activities, are imbued with awareness – walking, sitting, eating, working, listening. Throughout the day, bells invite us to return from distraction so that our bodies and minds naturally become calm and we can touch our true nature.
Retreat Cost: We offer two options. Select the level most appropriate for your personal situation. If paying by PayPal, the retreat cost is slightly higher due to PayPal’s transaction fee. Payment accepted in US Dollars only.
Regular cost: $850 by check ($867 by PayPal) Generosity tier: $1,000 by check ($1020 by PayPal)

Monthly Quiet Days of Practice
Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm
All are welcome – no experience is necessary.
A Quiet Day is an invitation to simply be present with all that is, resting deeply in each moment. On Quiet Days, we practice sitting and walking meditation, a formal meal at mid-day, and outdoor walking meditation. We end our day together with a guided relaxation or qi gong practice, and a reading of sutras or precepts. Please bring a vegetarian sack lunch.
The cost for the day is $50.
For upcoming dates, please contact wanderingmountain@yahoo.com.
