Registration for Days of the Dead at Mountain Lamp

Please read and make note of the information offered below:

On retreat we honor the Mexican tradition of Days of the Dead. We remember our beloved ones who have already died and celebrate life, unknown and unknowable, unfolding moment by moment. In this time of pandemic, how do we begin to understand the loss of so many lives, to hold the sorrow and uncertainty we are living through? Practicing in silence, cultivating concentration, we return, touching that which is unborn and undying.

On this retreat we will create an altar, an offering, to honor those who have died. Please bring a photo of your beloved ones or a small object to represent them for our ceremony and celebration.

When: The retreat starts Wednesday at 5:30pm with supper and ends Sunday at 2 pm. Full-time attendance only

All attendees must be fully vaccinated.

Meals: All vegetarian meals will be served with gluten-free and dairy-free options. If you have a medically prescribed diet, please note on registration form.

What to bring: clothes for sitting, working, and relaxing, as well as light-weight rain gear and a warm sweater. Good walking shoes. Personal toiletries and a towel. Flashlight. Camping gear if camping. Bedding for indoor sleeping.


Fees & Payment

Retreat fee: $320. We ask for $330 if paying by PayPal.

Deposit: $50, nonrefundable. Please pay in full by October 20, 2021

Payment: You may pay via PayPal (After submitting your registration form please go to “Retreat Fee Payment” under “Visit Us / Registration” on the web page’s main menu. The full amount is $330). If paying by check, please print your registration form and mail with a $50 deposit to Mountain Lamp Community, P.O. Box 512, Deming, WA 98244
